Modern tooth cleaning with new powder flavours and attractive coloursFor years, the KaVo PROPHYflex 3 powder jet device has been universally successful in practices, for powerful but gentle removal of deposits, discoloration and plaque. Modern tooth cleaning with new powder flavours and attractive coloursBiberach/Riss, 06/04/2009 - For years, the KaVo PROPHYflex 3 powder jet device has been universally successful in practices, for powerful but gentle removal of deposits, discoloration and plaque. Starting at IDS 2009, PROPHYflex 3 is now available in two new, fresh colours, Apple Green and Violet. In addition, it is also now available with a Sirona connection. Furthermore, patients can look forward to the four new flavours of the PROPHYflex powder: Mint, Cherry, Berry and Orange.
Complete removal of bacterial plaque is a key factor contributing to the continued health of dentition and gingivae. With the PROPHYflex 3 powder jet device, bacterial plaque can be removed gently and powerfully, without altering the enamel surface or traumatising soft tissue. Furthermore, the device is excellent for polishing teeth after calculus removal, matting metal occlusal surfaces and cleaning implant surfaces or enamel prior to fissure sealing.
Starting at IDS 2009, PROPHYflex 3 will now also be available in the fresh colours of Apple Green and Violet, in addition to the classic Black. An eye-catcher for the practice team and patients. Patients can now also look forward to the new, fresh flavours of the PROPHYflex sodium bicarbonate powder.
The biocompatible cleaning powder quickly dissolves in water, optimally releasing the intensive, pleasant taste of Mint, Cherry, Berry or Orange. The capacity of the powder reservoir is designed for exactly one treatment. This eliminates wasted powder at the end of treatment.
In addition to the sodium carbonate powder, absolutely salt-free potassium carbonate pearls, called PROPHYpearls, may also be used in powder jet device. With their geometric shape and relatively flat angle of incidence, PROPHYpearls roll over the tooth surface. In this dynamic way, they have a more efficient, extended amount of contact time with contaminated areas and achieve full cleaning potential.
The PROPHYflex 3 handpiece is simply snapped onto the MULTIflex coupling of the dental unit. The excellent balance between handpiece, coupling and hose prevents fatigue. With the 360° rotatable cannula, even hard-to-reach areas can be easily treated.
Thanks to its portability and easy connection onto the MULTIflex coupling, PROPHYflex 3 can be used in any available treatment room. This permits much more flexibility in practice operations than with permanently installed powder jet devices.
